Description
Ay illuminate is a Dutch house that makes lights including the superb Pickle black suspension designed by the talented Ay Lin Heinen and Nelson Sepulveda. Ay illuminate draws its inspiration from nature as well as different cultures for the creation of its products, which is reflected in the use of organic forms and natural materials combined with local artisanal expertise.
The Designers:
Ay Lin Heinen and Nelson Sepulveda are the main designers of the Ay Illuminate house. Ay Lin and her husband Casper Heinen have developed relationships with craft communities since the brand's inception.
Nelson was ambitious, his desire is to develop luminaires that open up new perspectives in terms of design. Ay Lin began working with artisans specializing in basket weaving techniques in Indonesia to create a line of baskets.
