Oak gable coffee table - Simone Afabris - Emko
Pinion is an Emko collection of coffee and side tables inspired by a round gear. The starting point of this project comes from the observation of mechanical gears in different artifacts.
Pinion tables are available in three sizes and heights. Here we offer you the coffee table with a beautiful volume, ideal for the living room. Each table is crafted from oiled oak wood and features a round brass plate in the center of the top. This subtle detail not only adds a sophisticated touch, but extends the concept of mechanics to the materials and the final appearance of the table. The light Pinion tables can be arranged individually or in a composition of your choice. The tables are practical for decorating living rooms , welcoming guests in the lounge area or can serve as elegant bedside tables. Plus, the smart construction allows Pinion tables to be packed flat for easy transport or compact storage when not in use.

Description
“I have always been passionate about mechanical constructions and carpentry in general. The pinion gear allows several movements in mechanics, and this very interconnection between different gears inspired me to create this collection of tables,” explains designer Simone Affabris .
Simone Affabris is an Italian furniture and product designer, currently based in Sweden. After graduating from IUAV University in Venice, he completed his master's degree at HDK University in Sweden.
