Recycled Teak Cake Server - Original Home
The cake server by Original Home is the natural, elegant way to serve cakes, tarts or quiches. Its wide, flat blade slides easily under each slice without damaging it.
Each piece is handcrafted by artisans in East Java, Indonesia, from recycled teak roots from certified plantations. These roots, once left abandoned, are given a second life as useful, durable objects.
At 30 cm long, it offers a good grip and goes beautifully with a teak plate or cake stand. A beautiful gift for anyone who loves wood and cooking. It brings a warm, natural touch to your interior. A durable, elegant alternative to plastic utensils.
Dense and resistant, teak is suitable for food contact. Its grain and shades vary from one piece to another: each one is unique and its dimensions may vary slightly. Wash by hand in lukewarm water, dry immediately and treat from time to time with a little food-safe oil.
Description
Recycled Teak Cake Server
30 cm long, the recycled teak pie server cuts and lifts each slice of tart or cake to serve it straight onto the plates.
Next to a footed bowl or a teak serving platter, it completes a warm dessert set for birthdays and afternoon teas.
Wash by hand in lukewarm water with a mild soap, without soaking, and dry straight away. Avoid the dishwasher and nourish the wood from time to time with a food-safe oil. Each piece is shaped by hand, so its grain and dimensions vary slightly.
At Original Home, design is inspired by nature and kept deliberately simple; the brand favours reclaimed materials and handmade work.
