Craftsman Teak Wall Shelf 90 cm - Raw Materials

Here is the 90 cm wall shelf from our Craftsman collection. It will find its place perfectly in a kitchen, living room or entrance. Its invisible fixing system gives the impression that the shelves are floating. The finish is light brown. Craftsman wall shelves are available in 90, 60 and 25 cm in length. Craftsman Collection: Inspired by the wooden stools used by the workers of the Chicago factories in the 1930s, the Craftsman collection takes up the finesse of the edge of these stools in the design of the shelves. The wood used for this collection is teak, grown in Indonesian plantations. This light wood is frequently used in furnishings. Teak does not grow in primary forests. Since 2016, the Indonesian government has regulated the timber trade and has set up a traceability system to reassemble from the tree to the origin of all exported wood. This regulation is part of the FLEGT agreement with the EU, thus guaranteeing the import of legal timber into the European Union. These aspects, taken together, make the production of teak wood in Indonesia and its use for the manufacture of furniture that is both economically and ecologically sustainable.
