Woodely, our story: when an unconventional path becomes a life project

I am not someone who followed a straight line.

And maybe that is why Woodely exists.

Saint-Étienne, the first seeds

I grew up in Saint-Étienne. A proud working-class city with a real culture of craftsmanship and materials. Maybe that is where it all began: this taste for things that are well made, that last, that were thought out with the hands as much as with the head.

It all started with a quiet obsession: creating. Clothes first. I studied fashion and learned to think about an object, a silhouette, a visual coherence. Then music. Years of writing songs, singing and building projects with friends, all the way to creating a musical. Different worlds, but the same driving force: giving shape to something that did not exist yet.

That love of creating never left me. It just changed ground.

Denmark, the obvious choice

Before going into retail, I spent several weeks in Denmark. Mariager Fjord, Aarhus. Strangely gentle landscapes, a special light, and interiors that spoke to me straight away.

What struck me there was not the minimalism often associated with Nordic design. It was the materials. Real wood, raw linen, worked metal, ceramics that are imperfect and beautiful because of it. Objects with texture, weight and presence. Interiors that breathe sincerity rather than performance.

I understood something there that I could not have put into words before: noble, natural materials are not a luxury. They are a way of respecting yourself, and the people who live in that space.

The world as a school

Back home, I dived into retail. Auchan, Zara: two giants, two cultures, two ways of looking at product, customers and space. There I learned high standards, rigour, and what a beautiful, well-presented product can make someone feel.

And then Australia. Two years in Sydney, where I went back to studying. Another way of living, seeing and imagining the future. A culture that blends freedom, closeness to nature and a sense of everyday beauty. A break that turned out to be more of a foundation.

You do not come back from experiences like these unchanged.

"The Sydney Opera House, where architectural daring reminded me that beauty has no limits."

A Master's degree, and then Woodely

Back in France, I decided to put everything on a solid footing. I went back to university, all the way to a Master's degree in Law, Economics and Management. Building a strong base for the project that had been growing in my mind for a long time.

And that project was Woodely.

An online concept store dedicated to design furniture and home decor, strongly inspired by Nordic and Scandinavian design. Not just another catalogue. A selection. A vision. A place where every brand (Bloomingville, Muubs, House Doctor, Raw Materials, Normann Copenhagen and many more) has been chosen for what it stands for: noble, natural materials, timeless design and a sincere ethical commitment.

What I truly believe

I deeply believe that a home that reflects who we are is a home where we feel good.

Not an empty interior copied from a Pinterest trend. Not a frozen showroom. A living space that reflects our personality, our passions, our wishes and our values. A place where every object has been chosen, not simply bought.

And for that space to be genuine, materials matter. Wood, stone, linen, blown glass, handmade ceramics... these materials have a soul. They age well. They become part of a life. They say something about the person who chose them.

That is what I try to make possible with Woodely: giving you the pieces and the inspiration to create a home that is truly yours.

Today

I am a trainer, and I run Woodely. Two activities that feed each other: passing on knowledge, inspiring, supporting. Deep down, it is always the same thing.

The path was long, unconventional, sometimes winding. Saint-Étienne, Denmark, Sydney, retail, law, creation... Every step left something in this project.

Woodely is all of that at once.

Welcome.
