Description
The Kuri stoneware collection is made according to the traditional Japanese Kurinuki craft, where designs are created spontaneously, thus giving the stoneware a kind of life.
The Kurinuki technique begins with a large lump of clay. Hands and simple sculpting tools are used to create the basic form. Finally, the object is finished and glazed. Kuri is created with natural, organic shapes and a raw edge resulting from traditional craftsmanship. The stoneware is available in two colors, a light "Sand" and a dark "Stone," and each color has its own distinct design expression. Kuri is finished with a smooth glaze where the light and dark colors each offer a unique expression.
